Macrons on the Net

Hi,
‘Click a letter to add to text field’
does not work in firefox
+ not a good idea to use hyperlinks as a user control to alter page input form control
use buttons instead.

i enter macrons directly.. with keyboard
Type ` (backtick) and then type a vowel to get a macron
ā Ā
I can do this because I have adjusted my computers Regional and language option to reflect the place I live. localisation — I live here, I use a Māori keyboad
internationlisation: I use unicode UTF-8 to encode all web-page documents so the macron character can conveyed correctly. I don’t use HTML entities, because I use unicode UTF-8.

+ there are good bi-cultural reasons for marking up using XHTML, as XHTML as a application of XML automatically understands Unicode wereas HTML …

there is a easy way,
